Bread Machine Cinnamon Rolls


Ingredients

  • Bread Machine:
  • 1/4 cup water at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1 egg, room temperature
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 cup bread flour
  • 1 (.25 oz) package active dry yeast
  • Filling:
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened for spreading
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • Icing:
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp milk

Directions

  1. In the pan of your bread machine, combine water, melted butter, vanilla pudding, milk, egg, sugar, salt, bread flour, and yeast. (Keep in this order.)
  2. Set bread machine to Dough cycle. Press start. This will take 1 hour 30 minutes.
  3. When Dough cycle has finished, turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Roll into a 17 X 10 inch rectangle.
  4. Spread with 1/2 cup softened butter.
  5. In a small bowl, stir together brown sugar, cinnamon and pecans. Sprinkle brown sugar mixture over dough.
  6. Spray a 9 X 13 pan.
  7. Roll dough tightly, beginning with the long side. Slice into 16 one-inch slices. Place in pan. Let rolls rise in a warm place until doubled, about 45 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350. Bake rolls in preheated oven until browned , 15- 20 minutes. Don't overbake. Rolls get hard.
  9. Stir together cream cheese, softened butter, confectioners' sugar, vanilla extract, and milk.
  10. Remove rolls from oven and let cool until warm. Spread frosting over warm rolls.
