Buckeye Brownies


Ingredients

  • 1 package brownie mix
  • ingredients for brownies (on box)
  • 2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 11 oz chocolate chips (1 bag)
  • 1 stick butter, softened (might need more)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Spray a 9 X 13 pan.
  3. Prepare brownie mix as directed on box. Pour into prepared pan. Follow baking directions on the box. Cool.
  4. Beat confectioners' sugar, peanut butter, and 1/2 c butter together in a bowl until smooth and creamy. Spread over cooled brownies.
  5. Heat bag of chocolate chips and stick of butter together in saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally until melted, (about 5 min). (Add more butter if needed.) DO NOT MICROWAVE. Spread over peanut butter layer. Cool and cut into squares.
  6. *** GF- If using King Arthur GF brownie mix, only use 1 box not 2. It gets too thick with 2 boxes.
