Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies


Ingredients

  • Brownies:
  • 1 bag Ghirardelli brownie mix
  • Chocolate Chip Cookie:
  • 1 stick softened butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup + 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • If using cookie mix, use 2 bags.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Spray an 8 X 8 or 9 X 9 pan.
  2. Mix brownie mix as directed on package. Pour into sprayed pan.
  3. Cream butter and sugars in a mixing bowl. Add vanilla and egg. Cream again until smooth.
  4. Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt until fully combined. Add chocolate chips.
  5. Scatter the pieces of cookie dough randomly over the top of the brownie batter.
  6. Bake for 35- 40 minutes.
  7. FOR A 9 X 13 PAN: Double the chocolate chip recipe. Keep a single batch of brownies. Doubling makes the brownies too thick.
