Chocolate Chip Cookies


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cup flour (little more)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl with mixer until creamy.
  3. Add eggs, beat well.
  4. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt.
  5. Gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.
  7. Drop by teaspoons onto parchment paper.
  8. Bake 8- 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  9. PAN RECIPE- Spread batter into greased jelly roll pan (15 1/2 X 10 1/2 X 1). Bake at 375 for 20 minutes. Can use a 9X13 pan.
