Marble Brownie Squares


Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 2 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs- separated between both layers
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup dairy sour cream
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 (6 oz.) semi-sweet mini chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Combine softened cream cheese and 1/3 cup sugar, mixing until well blended.
  3. Blended in 1 egg. In saucepan, combine water, margarine and chocolate; bring to boil. Remove from heat.
  4. Add combined remaining sugar and flour; mix well.
  5. Blend in remaining eggs, sour cream. baking soda, and salt.
  6. Pour into greased and floured 15 1/2 X 10 1/2 inch jelly roll pan.
  7. Spoon cream cheese mixture over chocolate batter.
  8. Cut through batter with knife several times for marble effect; sprinkle with chocolate pieces.
  9. Bake 375 for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
