Meatball Sandwiches


Ingredients

  • 1 lb burger
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 French baguette
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 14 oz jar spaghetti sauce
  • slices of provolone cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the ground beef, bread crumbs, Italian seasoning, garlic, parsley, Parmesan cheese and egg.
  3. Shape into 12 meatballs and place in a baking dish.
  4. Bake for 15- 20 minutes or until cooked through.
  5. Slip the baguette into oven during the last 5 minutes of the meatball time. Toast lightly.
  6. While the bread toasts, warm the spaghetti sauce.
  7. Spoon meatballs and sauce on the baguette and top with cheese.
  8. Return to oven for 2- 3 minutes to melt cheese.
