Taco Crescent Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cans (8 oz each)refrigerated crescent dinner rollss
  • shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, taco sauce, salsa

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. In a nonstick skillet, cook beef until no longer pink. Add taco seasoning mix and 1/2 c water. Simmer 3- 4 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix beef mixture and cheese.
  4. Unroll both cans of dough. Separate into 16 triangles.
  5. On large cookie sheet or parchment paper, arrange triangles in ring so short sides of triangles form a 5 inch circle in center. Dough will overlap. Dough ring should look like a sun.
  6. Spoon beef mixture on the half of each triangle closest to the center of the ring.
  7. Bring each dough triangle up over the filling, tucking dough under the bottom layer of dough to secure it. Repeat around ring until entire filling is enclosed (some filling might show a little).
  8. Bake 20- 25 minutes or until dough is golden brown and thoroughly baked. Cool 5- 10 minutes before cutting into serving slices.
